Heart of stone – the Conero Park through the eyes and the voice of young artists, with Wu Ming 2 and Federico Clavarino
Monte Conero: that piece of rock that – breaking away -has escaped from the Apennines millions of years ago and stopped by the sea, next to Italy’s backbone, as if it were a heart of stone. The only promontory that, from the northeast to Puglia, interrupts the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea.
Heart of Stone narrates the Conero Park, the mountain, the territory and its peculiar anthropology, through the eyes and the voice of young artists.
By means of a collective experience of exploration and narration of the Conero Park’s territory, ten contemporary photographers and ten writers reinterpret and return its naturalistic, landscape and anthropological uniqueness.
Leading this artistic experience are the writer Wu Ming 2 and the contemporary photographer Federico Clavarino.
After a cycle of explorations within the park’s boundaries, the photographs and the stories produced by the participants were collected in the publication published by Skinnerboox, a prestigious publisher of contemporary photography (graphic design CH RO MO).
